Button Hard to Beat
That are the words came out from Webber in a recent interview. But he claimed he has the same chance as Sebastian Vettel to get Jenson.
He said that Jenson would only need to consistently get to the podium to secure the 2009 F1 Championship Title and there's no doubt he can deliver that with the current BrawnGP car.
He is not sure how the next race at Nurburging will pan out as it will also depends on how the track condition will be where BrawnGP is susceptible to low temperature condition.

No FOTA Series!
It's a relieve to see that BrawnGP and the rest of the FOTA teams will still competing in F1 Championship 2010 next year.
Agreement has been reached that they will reduce the cost of competing in 2 years until they reach the cost level as of in 1990.
There are few teams that still not confirm the engine supplier and BrawnGP is one of them. This intriguing fact is pointing to 'Will Honda make a comeback and become engine supplier for BrawnGP?'. Maybe there was a gentleman agreement prior to selling the Honda F1 team to Ross Brawn?
Final Team List for F1 Championship 2010 are:
Team | Constructor
Brawn GP | Brawn TBA
Toro Rosso | STR TBA
Red Bull Racing | RBR TBA
Ferrari | Ferrari
McLaren | McLaren Mercedes
BMW Sauber | BMW Sauber
Renault | Renault
Toyota | Toyota
Williams | Williams Toyota
Force India | Force India Mercedes
Campos Meta Team | Campos Cosworth
Manor Grand Prix | Manor Cosworth
Team US F1 | Team US F1 Cosworth

Barrichello 3rd, Button 6th
That was how bad the race in Silverstone for BrawnGP.
For the first time, Button qualified outside top three (6th) and for the first time he was nowhere to be seen on the podium for this race. It's really dissapointing to finish 6th at his home grand prix.
Barrichello salvaged a podium place at 3rd, having qualified 2nd. He was not having a good race as he surrendered his 2nd place to Webber after the 1st pit stop.
Red Bull reigned supreme with their high speed performance and we are still finding our place in that dept. The circuit suits them better than BrawnGP.
But BrawnGP had also got it wrong with the tires option. I think, Ross wanted a different strategy than his opponents, but it was backfired. The long 2nd stint on the hard tires was not delivering, and it has caused Jenson the points.
I strongly believe Jenson would have at least got 4th place had we opt for soft tires in the 2nd stint.
However, it was not entirely due to the wrong tires option. The temperature in the weekend was low, and BrawnGP was again struggling to get the temperature into the tires.
I don't believe Red Bull was that far superior than BrawnGP. The race in China where Red Bull was 1-2 was also similar to Silverstone as BrawnGP was not able to get the tires temperature and had caused us to struggle.
I'm sure we would have better result in the hot dry condition, but we need to adapt quickly. The tires temperature was not the current issue, as it was an issue since Honda.
It's a race to forget, looking forward to the race in Germany.

New Helmet for Button
Button was spotted wearing his newly designed helmet during the Friday 1st practice session. And he will be wearing it throughout the weekend.
It was designed by Bernie Zobl from Austria featuring 'Push the Button'.
Jenson said that it has become a tradition for him to have a special British themed helmet for silverstone and this year is the same.
Meanwhile the BGP001 car has not yet spotted with FOTA sticker.
New FOTA Series in 2010?
The news came out that FOTA had broken down the negotiation with FIA and had announced forming a new FOTA series in 2010.

British GP Preview
Ross Brawn leading his BrawnGP team into British GP proudly at the top of both driver and constructor championship. And having Brackley just couple of miles from the circuit makes the feeling more at home for everyone in the team.
It is the circuit Jenson Button much anticipated throughout the season. It's his home GP (albeit house in France). The fans support is incredible, and he will be so fire up for this.
His thought was to this GP when he was interviewed last month in Monaco. And nothing is going to stop him from winning this race.
This also could be the last time they are going to race here, so Jenson is even more determined and he is going flat out for this.
Barrichello (having won here in 2003) and the rest of the drivers are sharing the same sentiment. Not having British GP in Silverstone is just not going to be the same. But he will be challenging his teammate for this. You can see his zest and competitiveness in last few races, he was really unfortunate not challenging Button as close as he wanted.
It's funny to think that the briton that was having all the fame and highlights last year was on the other side of the ranking. This is just how fast things can change. No one would have thought Hamilton (winner of last season), is so far from Button.
Hopefully, this will be the victory for BrawnGP to savour for a long time.

Jenson Button Thoughs on British GP
The pressure is on Button at the top of the championship chart. In an interview with BBC on how he is handling the pressure at the top and ahead of Silverstone.
He knows about the pressure in front, and he mentioned it will be a strange feeling if he does not win at his home Grand Prix.
He acknowledge how quick Barrichello is but was unlucky at Turkish GP, and he will be challenging him again. Nevertheless, he said a good result here at Silverstone will be ok but being a competitive driver he will be looking for a win.
FIA had released the 2010 F1 Championship entry list and apparently, BrawnGP is not in the list. They were told to lift the conditions set in their entry in order to participate next season Formula 1.
Furthermore, the engine supplier has not been confirmed. They have until next Friday 19th Jun, to finalise the entry.
The engine is not confirmed raise eyebrows. Could it be Honda is making a comeback? Brawn Honda? It will be really interesting to see if Mercedes still remain. The twist could force Mercedes to commit on Brawn rather than placing their emphasis on McLaren where they have 40% stake.

FIA about to publish 2010 entries
In few hours time, for the first time in 6 decades, we could be seeing Ferrari and some other big teams exclusion from the 2010 F1 Championship as the disagreement on the budget cap between FOTA teams (Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Brawn GP, Toyota, Red Bull, BMW and Toro Rosso ) and the FIA had worsen.
It has been told that the FOTA teams had submitted conditional entries to FIA. And it was told that they had come to an agreement.
Earlier, Williams and Force India had broken ranks with FOTA as they had registered with FIA.
Worst scenario, if the FOTA teams were unable to agree terms with FIA, we could be seeing a FOTA breakaway series? I hope not, but it is sure tense waiting for the list.

The Wing of Supremacy
What makes Jenson said the car is outrageous? He told in the post race conference that he thought Red Bull is a step ahead as they had put their diffuser on and were P1 during Turkish GP qualifier. Never did he knows the car was so good in Turkey after the new front wing was installed.
He was 15 to 18 seconds ahead from Red Bull before the end when he was nursing his car to victory. Whether Vettel made the mistake or not, I'm sure Jenson had the edge with his brilliant car installed with the new wing and the magnificent diffuser.
The arrows indicate the adjustable flap allowing more flexibility in the flap movement, thus driving the air flow away from the tyres and improve the aerodynamics of the car.

Turkish Delight for Jenson
6th win of the 7 races and 4th in the roll, what an amazing achievement that only Schumacher and Jim Clark had ever did it before. Jenson Button had done it again. He swerved left and right to cross the chequered flag.
Although he qualified on P2, everything seems to conspire to let Jenson win this race. Button overtook Vettel at turn 9 when Vettel made the mistake. Vettel told that it was the wind that had made him committed such a mistake. Mistake or not, thank you very much, message from Button as he was leading the race until the end.
The story did not end here though. We are not getting used to see BrawnGP car at the backend of the race. Barrichello had a nightmare of a race. Started at P3, on the clean side of the track, stalled his car, and he was at 12th position.
The worse was not over, as his emotion ruled his mind. Drive aggresively and was so determined to overtake Kovaleinan. The Mclaren was on their KERS, it was so tough to overtake. Barrichello ended up with a spin when he bumped on Kovaleinan car during corner.
The fires in his head was too much to take as his front wing was smashed when trying to overtake Adrian Sutil in the Force India car. In the end he was retired, and from the look of his face, he was so angry with himself. He was probably not getting used to be so far at the tail of the race that made him pushed the car too much. Had he more cooler in handling this situation, he will probably in the point scoring position.
In the end of the Turkish race, Jenson extended his lead to 61 points and BrawnGP rised up to 96 points in the constructor.

Turkish GP Free Practice 1
The practice did not show good result for BrawnGP as Barrichello and Button are 9th and 11th respectively. They are probably on heavier fuel as compared to Rosberg (as usual), Trulli, and others. Below is the Top 10 list :
1. Rosberg
2. Hamilton
3. Trulli
4. Vettel
5. Massa
6. Nakajima
7. Raikkonen
8. Alonso
9. Barrichello
10. Kovalainen

More Turkish GP Preview
There was some rains in Istanbul Park on Thursday, and the weekend is expected to have some rains. If this is the case, then our preparation could be jeopardized. We have seen that Red Bull reign suppreme in the wet, that could be in the way for Jenson to get the 6th win. Besides, they have their double diffuser on which is going to challenge us to the limit.
Ferrari is also on the rise, and they are getting stronger, this track favors Ferrari in the past races as they won back to back here.
It is going to be really interesting this weekend.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009
Jenson Button will be at the festival located at Goodwood estate, West Sussex on July 3-5 featuring his brilliant BGP001 car. It is such a wonderful place to showcase the car that had recently won 5 out of the 6 races.

PreTurkish GP Thoughts
Barrichello said that the circuit in Istanbul Park is demanding and challenging because of it's anticlockwise flow of the race and it's tougher due to the neck muscle of that side is not used that much.
Jenson thinks the other way, as he is enjoying driving there.
Meanwhile, Ross was saying BrawnGP are working continuously on the development of the BGP001 car and will bring in the new front wing, aerodynamics updates, and new rear suspension elements into this race.
The front wing is just as I have expected as we need to improve on the aero.
“I am delighted to become a Patron of the SKIDZ Motor Projects charity and to lend my support to their fundraising campaign for new premises for the Wycombe Motor Project”
"We were thinking that 3rd was the best we could have and we knew that if the track didn't change a little bit, it was going to be difficult to beat them"
"To be leading the championship going into my home Grand Prix is something that I've never experienced before and it puts a smile on my face every time I think about it"
"The first race where the car has been absolutely perfect, This car is just outrageous. Before this, I really believed the Red Bulls were on our pace, but today we were a step ahead"
"It's hard to believe that we are already over a third of the way through this season and it's been a very intense but immensely rewarding start for the Brawn GP team."
