Another couple of days it's the free practice at Istanbul Park International Circuit, Turkey. Maybe then, we will have a glimpse on how well BrawnGP can perform there.
But we have seen BrawnGP in practice and qualifying and it's totally different picture. The reason is, the BGP001 car can adapt very quickly.
As Jenson had told us, the car respond to the fixes everytime; thus in short time, engineers can tune it and the car responds to it quickly. This is the key to Jenson pole position in the previous races. Of course he needs to have the luck too, so far, ladies luck smiling at him.
The previously reported Ross Brawn was not thinking winning at Turkish GP is possible is out of mark. It was taken from the post Monaco interview and he meant it will be tough and the circuit will favour cars with high speed performance. He did not mean we will not going to win there.
I think we are vulnerable as this track provide many chances of overtaking. And we do not have the KERS to defend it. We need to get our aerodynamic right for the high speed performance, that's why we expect to see a different front wing.
Jenson is currently riding high, and luck is with him to win the 6th GP for BrawnGP.
Personally, a podium finish is a good enough result.

BrawnGP to submit F1 2010 entry
Meanwhile, BrawnGP is expected to be submitting the entry to Formula 1 Championship 2010 by the deadline 29th May 2009, while a lot of teams (Ferrari, Renault, Red Bull, BMW) are still mulling over the budget cap issue. A meeting will be conducted on Friday to iron out the issue.
BrawnGP Wants Jenson for Life
Jenson is currently only having a year contract with Brawn GP. BrawnGP is desperate to secure his signature and wanted him to finish his career with Brawn GP.
Nick Fry and management are very impressed with in-form Jenson and want to keep him for the rest of his career. They know that big teams will be eyeing on him with his recent winning form.
They believe Jenson will stay and more fund should be available for his contract offer as sponsors are pouring in.

Win is not possible in Turkey
Ross Brawn has played down expectation by declaring victory in Turkey is not possible.
It is not without any ground with this claim, as BGP001 car is having good performance in low speed and medium speed. But for high speed performance, we are still lacking and BrawnGP thinks that Red Bull is better in their high speed performance.
Some pundits even came out to say that the Turkish GP will be dominated by Red Bull team.
Of course, Ross Brawn and team won't be sitting still do nothing about it. There are some minor upgrades on the car probably tinkering with the front wing because this track is demanding high emphasis on aerodynamic. Whichever team plays this well will win this GP.
It was a sweet victory as Jenson ran on the track to celebrate his home victory. Amazing, he was so exhausted and yet he was doing almost a lap by running. I guess he can't wait for the car to pick him up from the parking to the podium.
Again, he was magnificent throughout, and nothing can stop him now. The fact that out of nothing he came out pole during the qualifying was simply unbelievable.
When the green lights off, Jenson and Rubens got off the start perfectly. Barrichello leapfrogged Kimi into 2nd position and what a great start for both of the BrawnGP cars.
The strategy was working really well, and Barrichello was acting like a shield for Jenson as he fence off Kimi, and Button was clearing away by opening a gap between the first and the rest of the pack.
Barrichello was suppose to last longer in term of fuel but got in for the 1st pit stop first due to he was struggling with the soft tyres and when he was lagging behind few seconds than Jenson and the team called him in.
Rubens was almost losing out on the 2nd position when Ferrari was totally screwed up with the last Kimi pit stop.
I have to say, it was boring from then on with 20 laps to go as no one seems to be able to challenge Jenson. BrawnGP is just unstoppable.
Looking at the 5th win and 51 points for Jenson in BrawnGP, it seems like the championship is ours. I feel the constructor championship 86 points is too far for the chasing teams too.

Monaco GP Preview
Monaco circuit, one of the tightest street circuit. You cannot make mistake here or you will be punished. That is how difficult it is, as Jenson told us to finish here is a bonus.
It's kinda boring track to watch for a spectator as the guy on pole will normally take the chequered flag because it's so hard to overtake here. That's why qualifying is such an important factor here in Monaco.
The circuit is also located right at the heart of Monte Carlo, a place famous for it's casino and resorts. It's such a beautiful scenery.
Combination of the few facts above make this Monaco GP such a unique and glamourous event in F1 calendar.
Jenson has had accident here so it will be memorable for him but as told he is not affected by it. He has more sweet memories here because his house is right there with his yacht parked outside the dock.
F1 racing here requires a bit of strategy. Everyone is fighting for pole during qualifying. Teams might be using low fuel to grab the pole, but might need more or longer pit stops. So all these are needed to be executed perfectly.
But I think, this season, Button has the car and the luck with him. I think he will do well with Barrichello on this track. I also think Ross has a master plan for winning this race.
Another victory? Well, where is Jessica? ...

Here is another summary of interview but this time with Ross Brawn.
Ross Brawn had never thought of having a formula 1 team bearing his name. But the idea came from the legal secretary.
He mentioned that he is not thinking about the championship but winning a race at a time.
He was talking about the sacrifice made for 2008 F1 championship in developing the 2009 car while other teams like Ferrari and McLaren were focusing on 2008 championship.
Brawn told that he has long stop worrying about the hostility he receives in Formula 1. He had it during the Ferrari days, and recent diffuser case was another.
He said BrawnGP supported the budget cap effort, however he does not want to see teams like Ferrari, Toyota , other teams pulling out from F1.
Brawn felt that keeping Barrichello was the right decision although Bruno Senna is a bright prospect because the team cannot take risk and on a tight budget.
Ross rates Jenson as excellent top class driver although he did not work with him before and were told that he did not have good equipment to judge on in 2008.
Here is to summarize the interview with Jenson Button prior to Monaco GP.
Jenson key moment of glory is targeted not at Monaco GP (although he lives here) but is at Silverstone. It is because of the fans that he would love to win it there.
He was talking about previous accident in Monaco but he is not affected by it.
Now that he had tasted victory after another, he feel that finishing 2nd in race will be a disappointment.
He expresses that this street race is fun but need to be aggressive and to finish at Monaco is a bonus, considering there are a lot of barriers in this circuit.
He was also saying about being boring at doing so well because he needs to keep looking to improve things rather than going away for refresher.
Enough of the lovey dovey stuffs, time to get back on track.
BrawnGP had been told by Mercedes that KERS are ready for them if they intend to use it.
Looking at the season so far, KERS doesn't show any advantage over team without it (except the defending and start up).
It's really dangerous to proceed since we are doing well without it, and by installing KERS will give problem on the car design and the weight distribution.
We should wait until the KERS is more stable, because so far, it's been a lot of technical problem with KERS as happened to Ferrari and BMW in earlier few races.

Jenson Button is training hard for the Monaco race, but he surely won't forget to send lovely flower for his love one.
May 17, 2009
It's been a week and Formula 1 only resume next weekend at Monaco, so it's kinda boring without much BrawnGP news. I have posted an interesting quote from Jenson in the news flash section at right panel.
May 14, 2009
Jenson had updated BrawnGP Video about his feeling following the Spanish GP victory in Barcelona. Check it out.
Spanish GP started well for Barrichello as he took 1st position overtaking button cleanly that it seems victory in his hand, but soon the change of tactic where button changed to 2 pit stops and barrichello was on 3 pit stops strategy, things changed.
In my opinion this is the key to Jenson victory, the long second stint with heavy fuel work in Jenson favour, the same strategy webber did and worked in his favour to get the podium.
Meanwhile, Jessica seems to smile all the time, it's like a shining star to Jenson Button when he was at 1st position for a long time since Barrichello took his second pit stop.
No major hiccup, Button retain the 1st position all the way to chequered flag, everything pans out nicely and barrichello was unfortunate not to win this race, but team wise, the team done exceptionally well.
Job well done and championship seems to be heading our way where we stretched our point tally to 68 points in constructor championship. Driver Championship is Button on 41 and Barrichello on 27.
While last year driver championship won by Hamilton where he had only 5 wins and Jenson now is in his fourth win, he is getting closer to the world driver championship.
Come on, I have been waiting for Jenson to be crowned the champion for a long time. Roll on to Monaco in 2 weeks time..
Next stop, Circuit De Catalunya in Spain. There has been news that most of the team now are in the level field with BrawnGP.
Will Ferrari back with the rear diffuser update that can mount a challenge to BrawnGP and Red Bull?
McLaren with their appeal against the decision of 3 rounds ban? Will they able to challenge us?
All still rosy for BrawnGP team for the start of this Spanish GP, but Red Bull is the team that we worry about as they are getting closer to us than any other team. Well, lets see how the double-decker rear diffuser can do in this race if the Red Bull team manage to finish it in time for this weekend.
With 50 points on board (31 and 19 for Jenson and Rubens respectively) we open up quite a gap, but all that can change in 1 or 2 races, so I think Ross is planning something not to let our competitors getting close to us.
But another case that raises concern this coming weekend is the Swine Flu. Many countries are working on curbing this new virus which claimed more than 150 lives in Mexico. That means we could have small turnout or no turnout in the stands at all. Well, hopefully, it will not turn out to be this way as the sports without its spectators is hard to comprehend and never in the history of F1 racing had happened before.
Weather forecasted that the weekend are clear and that will be good news for us to stretch our point tally as we are really good in the dry.
Looking forward to another exciting race which I think will be another podium finish for BrawnGP.
There are updates on FIA new regulation for 2010 in the BrawnGP Blog.
"Before the weekend I said that this grand prix doesn’t mean anything different to any other grand prix. I think that was more to stop the pressure on myself but we all know the truth. To win here was fantastic"
"We are extremely pleased to have reached an agreement with Willans to use their racing harnesses in the Brawn-Mercedes cars this season. Driver safety is absolutely paramount in Formula One and the sport is continually taking steps to improve our safety record"
"Whilst we have been away racing over the past few weeks, the factory has been working extremely hard on our upgrade package for the BGP 001 and we look forward to seeing the results of our development work on track in Barcelona this weekend."
